Brochure

Identifying professionalism at a graduate nursing level is imperative to provide safe and effective nursing
care. Each of you will be assigned a topic specific to an area of The Essential of Master’s Education and
create a brochure. After completion, the brochure will need to be posted in Canvas for each of your
classmates and faculty to review. Grading of the brochure will be based on identifying key concepts of
professionalism, the specific topic and creativity.

o   Overview of your assigned topic
o   Supporting information (at least 2 additional resources)
·         Design                                                                                                  20 points
o   Use of graphics
o   Design layout (should be a front and back, preferably trifold brochure)
·         APA, grammar and spelling                                                          10 points
o   Correct citations
o   References listed
o   Correct spelling and grammar

**The point of this brochure is to teach your classmates about your assigned topic. This is intended to be an overview (bullet points are fine), not a paper.

Power Point
Power Point Presentation
The Essential of Master’s Education Presentation and PowerPoint is designed to address graduate nursing and the impact on nursing practice, education, and healthcare delivery trends. You will choose a topic from the list provided by faculty or select a different topic, with approval from faculty. Once your topic is chosen, you will determine the information to be provided and create a voice-over PowerPoint presentation. Presentations should be at least 20 minutes in length, not to exceed 30 minutes. Copies of your PowerPoint should be posted to Canvas to all students and faculty. The PowerPoint must include at least 3 references to support your information. All references must be less than or equal to five years old and must be referenced on the last slide of your PowerPoint using APA format. The PowerPoint presentation must be added to Canvas on the date assigned unless the instructor is notified prior to the beginning of class on that day. Failure to meet these requirements will result in a grade of zero (0) for that course assignment.

• Choose 1 of The Essentials of Master’s Education in Nursing topics (I-IX)
• Research and read 3 nursing articles related to topic specific to the Essentials of Master’s Education in Nursing
• Discuss the concepts of Master’s Education in Nursing, areas of Practice and the Context for Nursing Practice


CRITERIA

POINTS
Identify one of the Essentials of Master’s Education that you would like to discuss. Why is this topic of specific interest to you? (20 points)

Discusses the concept of Master’s Education in Nursing, areas of practice and context of Nursing Practice (60 points)

Minimum of 3 sources researched, discussed and cited in body of paper (journal articles) (10 points)

APA formatting (include cover and reference page), correct grammar and spelling (10 points)
