Criteria for paper grading (30 points)
Question:
1.Have students search for a case involving the “good faith exception” to the exclusionary rule and explain in detail why the good faith exception was allowed in this case. Compare this information to the cases in the text where information was not allowed due to improper search or seizure methods.
2. Have students debate the issue of criminal profiling. How often does this occur, and what are the consequences? Ask students to consider if profiling is necessary and appropriate. Then, have students differentiate between criminal profiling and racial profiling. When does profiling become illegal?
